I recently bought a car from Steve at the lighthouse centre – I have never experienced such flexibility in terms of test driving a car (he brought it to me to see as I had no other transport) and buying the car. Not only did he pick me up from half an hour away in order to collect the car, but he took me back home again when I realised I’d managed to forget my credit card. Nothing was too much trouble. I picked up the car in immaculate condition, reassured that if anything happens I can fall back on the 6 month warranty that was unquestionably included in the deal. A pleasure to do business with and extremely understanding about my absentmindedness! I would recommend this car centre to anyone in need of a car.

Working in a high profile company dealing with banks worldwide where a wrong word or attitude can lead to the door, I am a customer service nightmare for any company, shop, hotel, or whatever, I come into contact with and/or deal with.

From first arriving at Lighthouse car sales and speaking to Steve, I felt comfortable, at ease and that nothing would be too much trouble.

My first visit was a Saturday morning and, after a test drive and a decision to purchase the car, I was offered a new MOT and 6 months Tax and was told I could collect the car on the Monday.

On arriving, the guys also offered to assist with a CD changeover at no extra cost and as there was no tax purchased, and it would cause parking problems for me and of course I could not drive the vehicle, they went to the trouble of driving into Shoreham and collecting the new tax for me.

In finishing, Lighthouse car sales not only offered assistance and aftercare at the pick up of a phone, it is a shame that their attitude and level of customer service could not be passed onto numerous other businesses and public services.

Excellent A1 team and if you are lucky enough to get Steve his own level of customer service means he might not even charge you for your car !!.....Sorry Steve...

Unlike other car sales/garages, I found `Lighthouse` polite good humoured and no pressure. Once the car was sold to me they continued to be available to address any questions. You can have ridiculous conversations with these guys or serious its a comfortable atmosphere. Its the first place I will look if I change my car again.

I am writing to express my sincere thanks for the exemplary way in which you have treated me as a customer. Your honest, straightforward and respectful approach makes dealing with Lighthouse Car Centre a pleasure.

Having ‘lost’ my company car last April, I was very anxious about the decision I had to make: whether to buy a new car, or to do what makes more practical and economical sense for me and the long winding journey I make to work and back, – to get a reliable used car. From the first contact we had with Lighthouse, I was more than pleasantly surprised by the genial nature of your people. My first visit, accompanied by my dad, was made easy for us – whichever cars we like we were given as much time as we needed to look at them and Fred who guided the sale, was honest and open about the options we were considering.

A few months afterwards, having experienced the unpleasant issue with a main dealer over the allegedly ‘urgent and serious’ problem with the gearbox, you immediately helped to reassure me and were quick to arrange for the car to be driven to see if the problem the main dealer reported was in fact a real issue.

At the time, having been assured that the problem wasn’t as serious as the main dealer led me to believe it was, but something more to keep an eye on, again I had the reassurance from you that you would resolve it if it became an issue in the future.

This last week in particular, your service has been truly excellent: on diagnosis by the gearbox people that the problem was ‘probably’ not a major concern, you still directed them to go ahead with the work because you knew how important that reassurance was in terms of reliability for me. I am sure that other dealers wouldn’t take this route, and I would like to say how really pleased and touched I am by your approach: to me it’s a real demonstration of how fairly and compassionately you treat your customers, which is all too rare these days.

Buying a second hand car is never easy, my experience of buying from Lighthouse Car Centre was refreshingly pleasing. Our first impression having travelled from the Isle of Wight was that all of the cars in the yard were of the higher end quality. There was no pressurised selling and because the weather was bad they put the vehicle inside and they left us to it and the vehicle was exactly as described with good pictures on the website. With all used cars their are small issues, these were all dealt with as agreed and I was given a Car Plan 6 month Formula 1 warranty non collection of the vehicle.

I bought a Vauxhall Vectra from Lighthouse Car Centre, I'd never heard of them before but found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They are definately worth a visit if you are thinking of buying another car. The six months warranty gives you a bit more confidence.

I am extremely happy with the Renault Megan 225 I purchased on the 20/10/2009 at Lighthouse Car Centre. The car drives really well and looks great I am more than happy with the car my wife love's it. I would recommend Lighthouse Car Centre to anyone looking for a car. I found you to be very helpful and most important honest with me thanks again.

Buying a car as a single woman is daunting and scary to say the least when you don't know ANYTHING about what a 'good' car is and you don't have anyone to back you up, and reassure you, yet everyone seems brave enough to 'tell' you what you shouldn't do, where you shouldn't go to buy cars, what you shouldn't get etc etc...

Scott Redfern was completely impartial, honest, fair and practical in his advice about all the cars I looked at and took my budget into Consideration to help me find the best, safest possible option.
