I was absolutely amazed by the service I have received from Scott and his team at Lighthouse Car Centre. If I could give 100 stars I would. I was in a very tricky situation with my car and I have been struggling with it for the last 4 months and when I explained this to Scott he went above and beyond to help me sort things out in the best possible way and just get a new car. As a person that doesn’t understand anything of cars or car sales I felt I could trust him straight away. I was so anxious when I walked in the shop but Scott really put me at ease, gave me the perfect solution to get rid of my other car and presented me with a choice of cars I could afford, until we found the best deal for me. He literally helped with everything, car finance, papers ,he was so kind to the extent that he even came and picked me up in Hove today so I didn’t have to use alternative transport to go and collect my new car. Considering the last 4 months I went in yesterday morning thinking that I would have just come out disappointed but Scott was the most professional, kind, patient and knowledgeable dealer someone could find. I can’t believe how much time Scott and his team have dedicated to me. Excellent, professional service, you can tell that at Lightcentre the team are there to make their customers happy. I really wouldn’t have know what to do if I didn’t meet Scott and his team, I walked in that I was nearly crying for all the problems I had with my previous car and walked away with a lovely Nissan Juke and a big smile on my face and much more relaxed. If you need to buy a car don’t look any further, just go to Lighthouse and you’ll have the best experience guaranteed 100%.     On Sunday 5th of February, my girlfriend and I left home to check out some local car dealerships as we had been doing over the last few weekends. We were window shopping and it was Shoreham’s turn, and we had spotted the Lighthouse Car Centre whilst going past it on the 700 bus.Upon arriving, you are greeted by a medium size car lot with a large range of cars, differing in brand, size, colour, and gear choice (automatics clearly signed which was a nice change), and like kids in a sweet shop we were rather enjoying flitting from car to car discussing colour, boot size and where each car would take us on any given adventure.We finally settled on a black VW Polo and a blue Ford Focus being our favourites. Like the knowledgeable Jedi Knight he is, Karl appeared, to ask if we needed any help and proceeded to answer all of our questions, even those we had not asked. In the end, the Focus became our choice of car in the lot and after being allowed to sit in it and feel the space and character of the car, I think we were hooked.The Process from then was both smooth, non-intrusive and a lot more enjoyable than I believed buying a car could be. Karl even drove the car to us for the test drive and was incredibly helpful in getting someone who has not driven in 17 years, back in the saddle.All in all, a wonderful experience, and once we get to the point where another car is needed, we will be back to purchase our car from the Lighthouse Car Centre.  

It was impressive that not only did Scott recognise us on sight from our last visit in 2018, but he remembered precisely which car we'd bought! Once again he made the process of choosing and purchasing a car simple and stress-free.

  After visiting multiple different used car garages, my girlfriend and I stumbled upon Lighthouse Cars, and thank god we did! With a limited budget and an idea of what we did and didn’t want, this was the perfect place!Scott came out to say hi (the first time that day that we’d been greeted by anyone) but was far from the stereotypical pushy salesman. He asked a few questions, pointed us in the right direction and then left us to it. Exactly the right balance of helpfulness and space.This was the first time I’d bought a car like this, so I was apprehensive to say the least. But there was no need. After seeing one we liked, Scott gave us the keys and we checked it out inside. Again, on hand to answer questions, but with enough space to do our due diligence.When we decided to go for it, Scott made the process so simple. Taking my old car for scrap in part exchange, and delivering my new shiny Seat Ibiza to my house!He never made us feel stupid or inferior as women who don’t have much knowledge about cars. He was honest, personable and responsive through the entire process.I really can’t recommend him, and Lighthouse cars enough. Thanks Scott, we’ll be back when we’re ready to trade our car in for a newer model!

  Scott was amazing from the first point of contact. Very quick to reply no matter what time of the day or night, the car was ready for a test drive at the time agreed. No waffle, just straight forward trust from Scott with many years in car sales, let alone his length of service at Lighthouse Car Centre. Even as a gesture he paid for our road tax ( £20 ) but didn’t have to but it’s the small things that make the experience great.I would highly recommend Scott and the company, it’s says a lot when a family run business still exists after all these years. Well done and thanks for our 2nd car.

  Amazing service all completed in 4 days. So quick and efficient. Did not feel pressured into anything. Definitely recommend!

  The important question to ask about dealings with any business, whether it be the local greengrocer, plumber or an airline, is would I use them again? In the case of LCC (Lighthouse Car Centre), I give a definite YES.Both owners of LCC were courteous and helpful. What they assured me that they would do, they did:-1. Pfeiffers, my trusted garage in Westburne Villas, Hove, found two problems with the car I was buying - new battery and CAM belt required : they were sorted by LCC at no extra cost.2. When my old car failed to start, my new one was delivered on a trailer to the road I live in, and the old, broken down one taken away at no extra cost.3. I needed the car on a Wednesday afternoon: it was delivered on that Wednesday afternoon. Before driving away, I was told, "Any problems, just give me a ring." That is reassuring.Although my old car was traded in for a small amount, this was not an issue for me. If LCC can make a profit on it at the spares/scrap yard, that is fine. It will help them cover the costs incurred in point 1 above.In short, LCC provide an excellent service.

  Fantastic customer service. Friendly without being pushy. Called on the day of collection to check through paperwork etc. would highly recommend to all. Thanks for looking after me so well.

  I am short of stature and had lost confidence in finding and driving a new car.Karl encouraged me to drive again by taking me to some quiet streets near the airport and patiently coaxing me to get back in the saddle again!The Suzuki I was recommended is outstanding and Karl did all the paperwork for me.I couldn’t recommend Karl and his manager John highly enough.

Great service from Scott and the team.We viewed a few cars on a rainy Sunday afternoon and took some out for a test drive, but the weather and traffic was so bad that it was hard to get a proper feel for the cars.The following day Scott offered to drive our favourite one - Ford C-Max - to our house in Worthing so that I could give it a proper run.He gave me enough time to get a feel for the car and in the end I was happy to buy it from him there and then.Friendly, professional and very helpful.

  Very Impressed with these guys, especially Scott who went above and beyond with his customer service, even to the point of replacing the front brakes FOC during the warranty without a quibble and on the day. The car is absolutely mint and 8 months later on down the line it is still perfect. I 100% recommend these chaps, very professional and helpful.

  Scott was very helpful. We saw quite a few cars that ticked the right boxes.we decided to buy the black Ford fiesta. 1st weekend we got it , had a lovely trip to Bournemouth!My lad will be learning to drive next year so will be coming back then!! .

  I am a bit late writing this as purchased my car approx a month ago. However, i can't speak highly enough of Scott as he really did go above and beyond. He was happy to bring the car nearer to us so that we could test drive it, was more than happy to answer our questions and do anything he could to make sure we were comfortable. He even dropped off some bits that I had stupidly left in the car! I will certainly look to use the centre in the future, when we want a upgrade, but for now I couldn't recommend them highly enough. I can only say, what a wonderful and supportive team. I had an emergency no choice I had to purchase a replacement car as a garage decided mine was none reparable. The service I received as a older single lady …no pressure total understanding and I cannot praise them enough. They couldn’t do enough to be accommodating. Thank you so much I am so grateful. You also made me smile , thank you.

  Went to have a look for a car for my daughter and met Scott. Well what an experience. There was no pushy hard sell. I wasn't made to feel inferior as a woman buying a car. Was made to feel so welcome. Scott couldn't do enough to help.My daughter wasn't expecting to buy a car that day so was waiting until the end of the month for payday to be able to insure it. That wasn't a problem. Scott took the car back to his house and stored it there until she could insure it. He dropped the car off for her as soon the insurance was in place reassuring her that if she had any questions or worries to not hesitate in contacting him. What an amazing experience of buying a car. So easy and friendly with no hard sell and the feeling you've been bullied into buying something you didn't really want. Well done Lighthouse Cars. I will come again

  I bought a late 2009 lexus rx 450h Premier from light house car centre . Scott is an amazing salesman. The car is in excellent condition for the age and had full lexus history. The body work was very good with no scratches. Scott made sure my car had a full year MOT on it. I took the car to lexus Sidcup to for a comprehensive check and when they were done checking the car lexus said the car was very very good.There was no immediate repairs needed as everything was in good condition. I recommend light house car centre highly. Scott and the entire staff are very friendly and helpful.I will sure buy from them again as they sold me a very good car.
